The beloved underdogs are back for a third season in "Welcome to Wrexham," returning to FX and Hulu this week.

The docuseries follows the plight of Wrexham AFC, the Welsh team that holds the title of third-oldest professional soccer club in the world. In 2020, Hollywood A-listers Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club for $2.5 million in hopes of "turning the club into an underdog story the whole world could root for," according to FX.

The series has been lauded by fans for its much broader focus than the average sports documentary. "Welcome to Wrexham" returns for season 3 on Thursday, May 2 at 10 EDT/PDT. Episodes become available for streaming the day after release on FX.

The first two episodes of the season, which has eight in total, will drop on May 2. The rest will air weekly on Thursdays through June 13 and become available for streaming the following day.
